Andrea McNeil-Wilson, Director of Bar & Greenroom Events

In an attempt to rid the world of extremely bad gin, Andrea joined the RLT board (actually Ken and Pat were kind enough to save her a spot even though she didn't want it) and immediately introduced Bombay Sapphire Gin as a staple in the RLT bar.

Andrea first started with RLT in 1998 as part of a one-act play that somehow turned into a full length fundraising play, Pools Paradise, in February 1999. She was gone just over a year and was dragged back into the theatre by Pat Wilson to work as part of the crew, and a bunch of other roles, for Office Hours (November 2000).

Since then she has been a stage manager (Communicating Doors, All My Sons), an actor (Blood Relations, Windfall), as well as an assistant stage manager, crew, set constructor and set decorator for a bunch of other shows (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Moon Over Buffalo and Unity (1918) to name a few).

Andrea McNeil

Andrea is making her debut as a set designer at RLT's Autumn One-Act Plays. When not at the theatre, she can usually be found working on her house (a never-ending source of joy and frustration), wandering the aisles at Rona or Home Depot or buying shoes... she really likes shoes.

By day, she is a city planner and spends her evenings working on an Administration degree and breaking up fights between her two cats:  the extremely old and grumpy Sam and the young but not-so-smart Drill bit.
