The "Sammy" Award

Every year Regina Little Theatre awards the Sampson J. Goodfellow Award (known as the "Sammy" award) to a volunteer for:

• most valuable contribution to RLT; and
• outstanding contribution in the art of theatre.

2006/07 Season

This year’s recipient has dedicated a lot of time and effort to Regina Little Theatre. Not only has he given time to create; he has also taken time to learn which will ultimately prove to be of continuing benefit to RLT.

 This year our Sammy Winner has been:

• Stage manager two main stage productions.

• Attended TheatreWorks workshop in Saskatoon to study Stage Management.

• He was awarded an RLT Scholarship to attend the workshop in Saskatoon.

• Directed a one act play.

• Represented RLT  at the TheatreOne Festival.

• Was our TheatreOne apprentice at the festival

• Once again represented RLT by reviving his One Act play for the Cathedral Arts Festival.  This time not only did he direct, he also starred in the play. I guess just directing wasn’t enough of a challenge.

Our Sammy Winner this year is the lovely and charming, Patrick Pelletier. 

Patrick first came to RLT in 2001 and has been a fixture ever since.  On a personal note, I had the pleasure of working with Patrick on Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun this year and I have first hand knowledge of how hard working, efficient and how much fun Patrick can really be.

Patrick, on behalf of the Regina Little Theatre Board of Directors, I want to thank you for your creative contributions; as well as your eagerness to learn and use that knowledge to make RLT and it’s productions that of a higher standard.

I am very pleased and proud to present the S.J. Goodfellow Award to Mr. Patrick Pelletier.
