Do you like to express yourself on stage, or do you prefer to work behind the scenes? Regina Little Theatre provides opportunities for actors and backstage personnel of all skill levels and experience to participate in its amateur productions.
Open auditions for main stage and one-act plays are held on the lower level of the Regina Performing Arts Centre located at 1077 Angus Street (at 4th Avenue). Auditions are held on two or three consecutive days for each play, begin promptly at 7:30 p.m., and last for approximately two hours each evening. Group readings of script excerpts take place in the presence of the director, stage manager, and other auditionees. While individuals may attend more than one evening of auditions, they are guaranteed to read at their first session only. Callbacks may be held at the discretion of the director.
It is recommended that participants arrive a bit early to complete an audition form. Acting résumés and headshot photos will be accepted but are not required.
People are also needed for a variety of production positions. If you would like to be a member of the stage crew or have an interest in set construction, costumes, lighting, sound, makeup, or any other area, drop by at the beginning of an audition session to fill in a form. And if you'd like to try your hand at directing or stage management, we'd definitely like to hear from you.
