CAST (In order of appearance)
Cedar Park - Young Prince
Cedar (he/him) has been involved in regina little theater since 2015 and in that time has been involved in a number of shows both backstage and onstage. Most recently he was onstage as Colin in Jimmy the Antichrist, and as Mr. Tumnus in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. He is thrilled to be involved in Beauty and the Beast and hopes you enjoy the show!
Bonnie Senger - Morgan
Bonnie Senger was most recently seen on the RLT stage as Ouiser in Steel Magnolias. Regina Little Theatre has been such a huge part of her life and has brought so much joy since her first audition in February 1985. Since then, Bonnie has appeared in over 70 productions.
Many, many thanks to Dallas, Susan, their assembled crew and this extraordinary cast for allowing me the opportunity to live in this fairytale, creating the magic that is live theatre.
Brendan Lorch - Beast
Brendan Lorch is a Regina based Actor/Theatre Artist. A professional goofball since birth, Brendan is excited to make his "Beastly" return to RLT's stage. Since graduating from the U of R Theatre department in April 2023 with his BA in Acting, Brendan has been involved in a plethora of theatre projects. As an actor, Brendan played Villain in "Writer's Block" which was performed in RLT's spring one acts, Jay in "Stag and Doe" which was performed at Souris Valley Theatre in Estevan, and MacBeth in "MacBeth" for the Regina Shakespeare Festival (which was unfortunately cancelled). Brendan has also taken his shot at directing and writing. His directorial debut was over the summer for the Regina Fringe Festival, where he directed "Goodbye Charles'' for the Blue Room Theatre Company, and his most recent project was directing his own written work "After Life" which debuted for the first time for RLT's Fall One Acts. When he is not up to his neck in Theatre, Brendan spends his time reading manga, gaming with his friends or spending time with his wonderful family. He thanks everyone in the cast and crew for "Beauty and the Beast" for being a really fun cast to work with, and he hopes you all in the audience enjoy the show.
Sydney Ell - Beauty
Sydney is thrilled to be playing “Beauty” in Gale Bowen’s adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. In her second RLT experience, she thoroughly enjoyed working with the talented cast and production team involved in bringing this classic tale to the RLT stage. She recently graduated with her BFA in Theatre from the University of Victoria where she performed in several productions including Spring Awakening and This is A Play. Besides vocal and dance training, Sydney acted as part of Do It With Class in Regina, which included roles as Rapunzel in Into the Woods and Mabel in Pirates of Penzance. She thanks her family and friends for their support and promises she won't let great roles like "Beauty" go to her head.
Ruth Abigail - Melody
This is Ruth’s first production with Regina Little Theatre however, she has been doing theatre since she was nine. Ruth is currently studying theatre at the University of Regina. Some of her previous performances include: Legally Blonde: The Musical, Oliver!, and the play Nora’s Lost. You can normally find her singing to herself, probably something Taylor Swift related, or playing her guitar. She hopes you will find this performance of Beauty and the Beast heartwarming and entertaining as she is extremely proud of every single person involved with this show.
Annika Danielson - Grace
Annika Danielson is a 3rd year student at the University of Regina in her 2nd year of the new BFA Devised Theatre program. Annika has been performing with RLT for about 6 years now. You may have seen her in shows like Anne of Green Gables, Writer’s Runaround, Time After Time, Sylvia or stage managing for the past two One Act Cabarets. Annika is thrilled to be back on the stage with such a wonderful cast, filled with both new and old friends. She would like to thank Dallas for trusting her with this role and encouraging her every step of the way. When she’s not acting, Annika loves to scrapbook, listen to music (probably Taylor Swift or Harry Styles), thrift, and run escape rooms at Escape Manor Regina. She implores you all to find the magic in your life and to not be afraid to try wearing ostrich feathers in your hair! It’s the new fashion!
Dan Carr - Father
Dan Carr has been performing with RLT since the early 1980s. He has recently appeared in "Great Expectations" and "A Little Something for the Ducks". He also wrote two one-acts; "Quest Break", directed by Amanda Schenstead in 2022, and "Quest Break Two", directed by Dan Carr in 2023. Thanks for coming to see our show!
Darlene Barss - Magic
Darlene’s journey with RLT began when she tagged along to auditions with her son in 2016, and to her surprise, they both landed roles in that play. Over the next few years, she continued to be a part of numerous productions, both on stage and behind the scenes, with both Regina Little Theatre and Regina Summer Stage. Darlene’s last involvement was an on-stage appearance with RLT as Deb in
A Red Plaid Shirt in February 2020. Life took unexpected turns with the pandemic, a family health crisis, and pursuing university classes, temporarily pulling her away from the theatre. Now, she’s thrilled to rejoin this community of wonderful people and help bring some magic to the stage.
Claire Castle - Magic
Claire has been involved with local theatre for as long as she can remember. She has enjoyed being part of productions with Saskatchewan Express, Regina Lyric Musical Theatre, Regina Summer Stage, and Regina Little Theatre. Although she is usually found behind the scenes or teaching choreography, she is excited for the opportunity to make magic on the stage again.

Bryton Luxton - Magic
Bryton Luxton is a University of Regina alumnus, with a Bachelors of Education, and a minor in Drama Education. Bryton has been keeping busy with five shows so far, this year
(Variations on the Death of Trotsky, The Trial of Louis Riel, Does My Head Look Big in This, Murder on the Orient Express, The Birthday Party) and is excited to be in his sixth:

Mikkel O’Shaugnessy - Magic
Mikkel O’Shaughnessy is an actor, photographer, University of Regina student (BFA in Devised
Theatre and Theatre Creation), improviser, a biography writer, and theatre technician. Mikkel has performed and helped devise the University Of Regina’s 2022 BFA’s Cabaret, a fringe production of Goodbye Charles, stage managed and acted in one act plays at Regina Little Theatre, and has worked on other community shows. Mikkel enjoys the simple role-playing/puzzle games, technical theatre, football, and participating in theatre however he can.

Dallas Duffus - Director
Last seen on stage as Melissa in Love Letters (in support of the St. Paul Players), and in the director’s chair for RLT’s production of Now and Then, Dallas has been a member of RLT since 1978. (what?) She is well-versed in most every aspect of theatre, taking on any type of responsibility, from acting and directing to chief cook and even bottle washer. She was selected to join the elite team of Honorary RLT Super Hero Members in 2015 and considers her selection an absolute gift.
Collaborating with this talented cast and immensely capable crew has been a wonderful experience. Dallas wishes to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones Happy Holidays!
Susan Holmes - Stage Manager
Susan has been involved behind the scenes at RLT since before the turn of the century. She is truly honoured to be involved with the wonderful group of actors and backstage geniuses, led by Dallas. Enjoy the show!
Hope Van Vliet - Producer/Assistant Stage Manager
Hope is excited to be a part of another RLT show. She has been with RLT since 2018 and has tried just about everything at this point. Hope has most recently been a part of
All Good Things Must Begin (UofR) directed by Jennifer Brewin, Stag and Doe (Souris Valley) directed by Mark Claxton, and Ranchers and Rustlers II (Souris Valley) directed by Brad Wiebe.
Bob Nicholls
Bob has directed full-length and one-act plays for RLT, as well as designing sound for several others. He has also been stage director and music director for Regina Summer Stage, and other groups. He has enjoyed performing music with various ensembles, including the Regina Symphony, for over 50 years. He just finished four years as a Board Member of the Saskatchewan Choral Federation, one of the many local, provincial and national arts organizations that he has been involved with over the years. He always enjoys collaborating with the casts and crews of the productions in which he is involved.
